SAPD, or the San Andreas Police Department, is one of the oldest groups on CnR. It used to be a strict police group, but now plays as a casual group on CnR, with the SAPD tag kept for account and stats retention by a few members.
History[]
SAPD, was formed on January 20th, 2007, by Pole_Ice, Shield42, and Maddog, after the breakdown of SAPA. A lot of SAPA members joined SAPD, although some didn't and several left SAPD soon afterwards.
Disbanding[]
SAPD and fellow cop group SACS were excluded from the server after an incident in 2008 involving both leaders. Over time, SAPD gradually disbanded and is currently mostly inactive. Around 6 or 7 ex-members still play in the server, and some other players associate with them via IRC and Ventrilo.
